Lovers of unusual tours should not ignore Ivan Meštrović studio museum. The famous Italian sculptor used to live in this historic building. It was there that he had his workshop. Nowadays, you can see his most remarkable masterpieces among other exhibits. The exposition is also supplemented with other Croatian sculptors and artists' works of art. Of particular value is a collection of large sculptures made of bronze, stone, and wood.
The Strossmayer Park is very popular with recreational hikers. It was founded in the 18th century and is one of the oldest parks in the city. In 1892, a musical pavilion was opened on its territory. In the early 20th century it was decorated with new spectacular fountains. Now the historical park is a landmark of national importance. It houses many historical buildings and trees, whose age is over a hundred years.
The Croatian Maritime Museum is located in the ancient fortress of Gripe nowadays. It was founded in 1925.
