You'll find many amazing historical sights in Toronto. An original Casa Loma mansion is one of them. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century for one of the local wealthy entrepreneurs. The mansion looks exactly like an old castle. However, it was privately owned just for a while. The first owner had to sell it because of large debts, after which the mansion was the site of a hotel. Nowadays, they give guided tours there. Wealthy people can rent a mansion for private events.
The most interesting architectural landmark is a City Hall building, constructed in 1965 by a project of the famous Finnish architect V. Revella. The building has a very unusual design. It consists of two towers with a round pavilion between them. The entire facade is fitted with panoramic windows, which makes the appearance very spectacular. In front of the building is a beautiful recreation area with benches and a fountain.
The old City Hall remained in the city, as well. It was built at the end of the 19th century. Today, the city court is housed there. A high clock tower is considered the main architectural feature of the building. Its facade is also notable for spectacular design. It is decorated with ornamental borders and windows of circular form.
