Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is a small regional airport located on the Toronto Islands. The Canadian airport got its modern name in honour of Billy Bishop, the air vice-marshal of World War II. The construction of the airport was completed in 1939. It was built on the site where a baseball stadium and residential areas had used to be placed. The airport served as an Air Force Base during the war. The airport is used by civil aviation and air ambulances. Besides, it serves regional airs carriers, handles charter flights and private aircraft, and provides emergency response services. The air terminal comprises 2 runways (one is shorter) and one passenger terminal. Due to the noise restriction policy, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport does not service jets. The car rental facility of Hertz is located on the lower level of the passenger terminal, near the arrival area, at the exit from the baggage claim hall. The facility is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends. A rental car can be collected from the car park in the territory of the airport at once.

A car return location is specified in the rental agreement. A rental car is collected and returned with a full tank. Advance booking can be cancelled at least 48 hours before the pick-up time. When concluding a rental agreement, a sum of money starting from 500 CAD is frozen on your credit card in case the car is damaged or stolen. An additional fee will be charged, if the driver is under 25 years of age (between 21 and 24). Credit cards are accepted for payment. Additional drivers (up to 4 people) can be introduced into the rental agreement. Supplementary equipment is paid separately.

There are two types of car parks at the airport, which are short-term and long-term ones. They are positioned at the dock on the island. The territory near the passenger terminal is not meant for parking. The quay has car parks P1 (Eireann Quay) and P1 (Stadium Road).
