There are not so many local residents in Fuerteventura, and vast majority of them are employed in the tourism business. It’s won’t be a lie to say that this island is completely devoted to rest and tourists. However, it would be still an exaggeration to call it a noisy and a crowded resort. There are no traditional water parks and large entertainment complexes here, but the pristine beauty of preserved forests and nature reserves simply strikes newcomers. The so-called eco-tourism is one of main attractions for guests of the island.
The nature reserve named Lobos is the largest and the most visited on the island. On the territory of this reserve you will see over a hundred of rare plants. The nature reserve named Corralejo is another place of interest. Here you can walk on sand dunes and admire fantastic volcanic hills. The reserve features stunning looks of the Tindaya Mountain, one of symbols of the island.
