The beautiful Würzburg Residence is a landmark of world significance today. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List several years ago. The beautiful palace was built for the Schönborn Family in the 18th century. The best specialists from Germany, France, and Italy took part in its construction and design. The palace is notable for the fact that many unique design elements have been preserved in it. The fresco by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo is considered the most valuable among them.
It covers the huge vault above the stairs. The fresco is the largest and most beautiful in Europe since its creation. Many elements of the palace's decoration were lost forever after the end of World War II. The masters managed to restore most of the unique elements. Fascinating excursions are conducted around the huge palace today. You can visit its most beautiful halls and hidden corners during these excursions.
The Royal apartments were restored in the palace. Napoleon I repeatedly stayed there. Some rooms are famous for the fact that future famous royals were born in them. A luxurious garden with very beautiful ornamental plants, huge flower beds, and fountains is available for recreation to visitors of the palace in the summer. Several dozen ancient sculptures have been preserved on the territory of this garden. They are also of great cultural value.
