There is the ancient Cistercian Abbey in Stams; it was built in the second half of the 13th century. The original building was built in the Romanesque style; in the early 18th century, there was a major reconstruction of abbey, thus it has become a true embodiment of the Baroque style. The religious monument of the later period is located in Innsbruck; it is the Hofkirche Franciscan monastery. Built in the mid16th century, it has perfectly preserved to this day; today, it amazes guests with its elegant interior decoration.
An interesting old monastery is situated in Schwarz; its walls house priceless works of great masters of the 18th century. Fans of exciting excursions should definitely visit the city of Landeck, where the medieval fortress is situated. The fortress features an ancient chapel with an abundance of religious artifacts and spacious rooms housing the museum.
