2. The most prevalent urban transport on Moorea is an extensive bus network that can be accessed literally from anywhere on the island. Public transport is available from 5:30 to 17:30, whereas the only way to travel in the evening is a taxi.
3. Local taxi fares are relatively low and are especially beneficial for tourists who travel in large groups. Although all taxis have meters installed, it’s recommended to specify the fare in advance.
4. Boats and catamarans course between the islands every day. The local airline Air Tahiti can also be used for transportation. Traveling by water is the most entertaining and spectacular way to reach a neighboring island, whereas traveling by air is the fastest.
6. Car enthusiasts should remember that the island has a right-hand traffic. Local drivers aren’t the most responsible people in the world, so greater attention should be exercised on busy roads.
