Norway - moving around the country
The air transportation service in Norway is highly developed. The attention and development that this sector receives is largely as a result of the fairly complex terrain of the country, which is dominated by mountain ranges. This is why you will find that not only are international lines operating successfully in Norway, but domestic flights are also in high demand. The main airport of the country is the airport of Gardermoen, located near Oslo. At the moment, there are two functional runways with an up-to-date modern coating on the territory of the airport. Two terminals are currently enjoying full operations; one of them is used for international flights, and the other, for domestic transportation. According to last year’s data, over 24 million passengers used the airport in a year.
Nature and parks of Norway
Another part of the natural wealth actively protected by the State and cherished by tourists are glaciers. The largest of them, the “Folgefonna” with an area of more than 270 square kilometers, is now the center of the Folgefonna National Park. Ice formation is located at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level. Therefore, an 11 kilometer long tunnel was cut through it for the convenience of guests. In the National Park, you can “touch eternity” by feeling with your hands, one of the ancient glaciers.
