Fans of active recreation will not feel bored in Iran. The country offers different types of active recreation, and alpine skiing is, perhaps, the most popular choice. Local ski resorts are open from November to April. Two provinces of Iran – Kelardasht and Mazandaran – are the biggest centers of skiing in the country. Local alpine ski resorts also offer a range of other winter sports, starting from simple cross country skiing for beginners to slalom skiing on advanced trails for professionals.
Sadly, Iran doesn’t have a well-developed infrastructure when it comes to activities for families with small children. Family holidays are generally …

Dizin is one of the most popular resorts in the country. The elevation fluctuates from 900 to 3,550 meters above sea level. Dizin ski trails have a quality snow cover. Needless to say, the resort has numerous ski lifts. Local rental offices offer all gear that skiers may need. Despite everything, Dizin has a modern and quality infrastructure, so vacationers can enjoy a quality ski vacation here. Tochal is one more popular ski resort that is located not far from Tehran, the capital of Iran. Locals often call it a “domestic” resort because Tochal is equally popular with tourists and Iranians. It has approximately 17 kilometers of ski trails, so everyone, regardless of their skiing skills, can easily find a suitable trail to enjoy. Tochal has two main skiing zones. One zone is located at a height of 2,950 meters, and the other one – at a height of 3,850 meters. This is where tourists can ride in the longest 8-kilometer ski lift. Snow in Tochal resembles cosmetic powder, so it is a dream destination for all free riders.
Besides skiing, Iran can offer other activities that may please travelers. For example, all fans of hiking will find it incredibly interesting to visit the Alborz Mountains. There are hiking trails for both beginners and advanced athletes that allow exploring this miraculous and unique area. Some tours in the Alborz imply reaching the most remote parts of the region. In order to be prepared for such tours, tourists need to be physically strong because beginner hikers might need to stop and return back halfway. Hiking tours in the Iranian part of the Caspian seaside are no less popular. Copyright www.orangesmile.com

This is a great place to relax, enjoy the fresh sea breeze, clean water, and the atmosphere of fun that always reigns here. In popular tourist areas in Iran, visitors can also enjoy such an unusual and exciting activity as hand-gliding. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to fly high, see clear skies in detail, and enjoy breath-taking views of the country from a bird’s eye view – Iran is a beautiful country, so it’s very interesting to see it from a new angle.

That is why, tourists, who consider holidays and nightlife synonyms, will be disappointed in Iran in this regard.

The unique landscape in this area was formed after an eruption of Sahand volcano. Currently, about 1 000 people live in the unique stone houses. The old village has long attracted an attention of tourists. Several hotels and restaurants have been built here. That would be an ideal place for exploring the Iranian cuisine. In addition, Kandovan is also famous for its healing mineral springs. Fans of active tourism are attracted to these … Read all
