Not all experienced tourists know that one of the most dangerous places in the world is located in just a couple-hour drive from Manhattan. Here is the small town of Catskill, not far from the mountain massif, which has given the name to one of the most dangerous paths in the world. The length of the trail is a little over 40 km. The path stretches through the incredibly beautiful terrain. The main danger for travelers is not only the complicated ascents in the mountains, but also in the wild animals.
This area is home to the American black bears, whose tracks have been discovered several times on the path. For this reason, the tourists are allowed to travel only in the company of the guide. On the way you have to overcome several obstacles: the steep mountain slopes and the decayed small wooden bridges, the steep descents and the poisonous plants, which you can not even touch.
Catskill Mountains are incredibly beautiful, so hundreds of courageous travelers who want to graze along the picturesque landscapes are not afraid of obstacles. The dangerous path is rich in the sights: the widely intersected hundred-year-old trees, the marvelous waterfalls and the green meadows, which are perfect for recreation. No wonder this beautiful area has chosen the dangerous predators, the giant black bears.
