It is impossible to imagine a walk through Berlin without visiting the extremely popular places where the “shopping life” of the city resonates, namely, Kurfurstendam and Alexanderplatz. Almost all of the most famous sights of Marlene Dietrich’s hometown are gathered here, on these two squares. They include; the Rotes Rathaus, Berliner Fernsehturm, Neptunbrunnen, Marienkirche. Another interesting tourist area is called Viktoria-Luise-Platz. It is a very pleasant place to conduct a walk, especially with your partner, as the place is regarded as some kind of romantic island in this historical city that keeps its secrets. Movie fans should be able to recognize Tierheim, a building constructed in the 1990s, by Dietrich Bangert. It was here that some scenes from the movie “Eon Flux” were shot.
The modern Sony Center will surprise everyone not only with its exterior, but also with its interior. It is a futuristic place that attracts architecture lovers, who come here to appreciate this unique and impressive structure, which is built in the form of a triangle. It is not every day that one comes across such a rare architectural masterpiece as this. In the evening, the building is displayed beautifully with lights, such that you can even see all the details of the structure. For lovers of panoramic views, it would be a worthwhile experience to climb the Flakturm III Humboldthain, from where the beautiful city landscape opens up. Among the interesting cathedrals worthy of note is the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche, a memorable place notorious for the tragic events that occurred here.
