People who travel to France can also visit the wonderful ancient city Colonnogne-la-Rouge. This city became popular thanks to its carmine houses. It was founded in the 8th century, however, the major part of houses was built in 15th-16th centuries. Colonnogne-la-Rouge has the population of about 400 people while every year there come over 600 000 tourists.

Travellers love walks in the meandering old streets. Every building on this road is the unique architectural monument. The city is surrounded with forests, that’s why lovers of nature will also like this place. In warm seasons the buildings are decorated with beautiful bed plants. Not far from the city has placed Vassinhac Castle, dated 1583. Originally this castle was a place of living and then it was used for military functions. One of the most attractive and popular landmarks is Siena’s house. It hasn’t been changed for more than 400 years. Now there has placed the museum of city history and local’s culture. Among exhibits, you can see as household items, as pieces of art and archaeological artefacts, that were found near the city.
