Young travelers would be interested in learning a lot of new facts about the history of the island - it's worth taking kids on a tour of the Olive Museum "Fabbrica", which tells about Lefkada's traditional craft - olive oil production. Here you can go through every stage of production, including the final one - oil tasting. Not far from the museum is the picturesque Kerasia Waterfall where you should take the kids so that they can enjoy stunning views. Along the west coast of the island, you can find the Venetian Olive Grove. A walk in the frame of centenary olive trees will be long be remembered by each family member.
As for museums, the Folklore Museum located in Karya is of special interest to children. This is a kind of attempt to recreate the traditions that reigned on the island some time ago - here you can see how ordinary people lived on the island for several centuries. These include the Archaeological Museum of Lefkada (Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Λευκάδας) that has gathered interesting archaeological finds from all around Lefkada, as well as the Phonograph, Radio and Traditional Museum (Μουσείο original Φωνο) with its original antique exhibits.
