The situation changed some years later when the Georgia capital was moved from nearby Milledgeville to Atlanta and Atlanta ruins became to be reconstructed and the city made a first attempt to start a new business.
A new headache and hangover tonic called Coca-Cola which production and selling began in 1886 by Jacob's Pharmacy was one of such businesses. It got its development some years later when Asa Candler bought rights for selling the drink and launched the Coca-Cola Company.
Atlanta hosted hosted 800,000 visitors for the Cotton States and International Exposition in Piedmont Park in 1895 and Olympics in 1996.
