During the Second World War the casemates have saved lives of more than thirty thousand people. The majority has been destroyed, so today visitors of the historical complex can see only a couple of those grand buildings that have been built during the war. Royal Park is a great place for walks. The park is visited by thousands of tourists and locals every day.
