The capital and cultural center of Honduras is the city of Tegucigalpa. It is rich in all sorts of attractions, being primarily associated with beautiful Mayan legends. The central streets have preserved many beautiful buildings of colonial times, which are in perfect harmony with modern architecture. A prominent monument of the colonial era is Iglesia de San Francisco, the first church whose construction took place at the end of the 16th century.
