In the state of Arizona, there is the wonderful town of Oatman that was also abandoned by local residents. Today, this town has a status of a popular tourist attraction. You can see so many cars and people in the streets of  the city that information about the abandonment seems very exaggerated. In fact, all the people on the city streets of Oatman are foreigners. They are attracted by the well-preserved architecture and a variety of stories associated with the romantic place.

Oatman is a typical town of the Wild West, which was founded by gold diggers. When gold mines were depleted, the locals began to leave the town gradually. It went absolutely empty over time. The most interesting history about the town is associated with the names of famous movie stars, Clark Gable and Carole Lombard. They spent their wedding night in one of the hotels here. The town is located in a very picturesque area surrounded by marvelous mountain scenery. In recent years, the place gained a reputation of a popular tourist destination, so several gift shops and cafes are open there. Another specific feature of Oatman is a presence of wild donkeys freely strolling through its territory. An acquaintance with them promises to be a memorable event.
