In the city there are many beautiful palaces, one of the most beautiful is considered to be the Biscay Foral Delegation Palace. Built in the second half of the 19th century, it is a striking monument in the eclectic style. Over the years the palace managed to retain its original appearance and rich interior decoration. Open to tourists are almost all of its rooms, within its walls the palace houses collections of antique furniture and works of art, as well as perfectly preserved wall paintings. Mandatory part of the tour is the walk through the courtyard.
No less interesting is the architectural object is the Consistorial House, also known as the City Hall. This magnificent building was also built in the late 19th century, and an ancient monastery was formerly located in its place. Today, on certain days everyone can appreciate the beautifully decorated rooms that are used for important political events. Designers and artists from around the world were involved in decoration of this building.
Fans of theatrical art fans will be able to visit Arriaga Theatre in Bilbao, which is located in the eponymous square. The opening of the theatre took place in 1880; several times it has been fully destroyed, and in 1914 the building was severely damaged by fire. Each time the theatre is completely restored, and like many years ago, today there are very interesting drama.
