Nature enthusiasts should take interest in visiting Bioparque Estrella, a fascinating and picturesque nature reserve, inhabited by many exotic residents. This place is a home for magnificent elephants, giraffes, and zebras. On top of that, there’s a wonderful dino park, full of realistic dinosaur figures. The reserve grounds also include a small hostel for everyone, who’d like to stay in this beautiful place a little longer.
For anyone who’d rather not be away from the town for too long, we can recommend Loroventura park. This charming place is basically an open-air contact zoo, where visitors can feed and pet almost every animal. Kids will definitely be delighted to meet friendly lemurs that happily accept snacks from the visitors, as well as colorful parrots and snakes. This park has an excellent restaurant where you can relax after a guided tour.
Among Monterrey’s child-friendly natural attractions, it’s worth mentioning Parque Zoologico La Pastora. This zoo is noteworthy for its lovely design. In addition to animal enclosures, the park is decorated with spectacular sculptures and landscape gardening. Animals from all continents are represented in the zoo, including African elephants and hippos, rare white tigers, and even cute raccoons, the visitors’ favorites. The zoo is quite large and well-maintained, which makes it a pretty nice place to spend a sunny afternoon at.
