Cancún International Airport is located in Cancún, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. It is now Mexico's leading airport in terms of international passengers and the second busiest airport of the country. It has been functioning since 1974 and operates 2 runways. The driver should be aged 21 or over. The drivers under 25 years of age will have to pay higher car rental charge. Taxes, an airport charge, a terminal service fee, insurance fees, a tourist fee and some other charges will be included in the rental cost. There is a surcharge for introducing the second driver into the agreement. Supplementary equipment is paid separately.
Fuel policy depends on the selected car rental company. The firms often operate a full tank policy, according to which you receive and return the rental car with a full tank. Leaving the peninsula and the country by the car should be agreed upon when signing the rental agreement. Some companies take an additional charge for that. Parking lots are placed next to each terminal. A hotel is set beside Passenger Terminal 4. The easiest way to reach the hotels lying outside the territory of the airport is to pre-book a transfer. The nearest hotels to the airport are the Comfort Inn and the Courtyard by Marriott.
