Other attractions on Gozo Island include Ta ' Kola Windmill, built in 1725 by order of Grand master Manoel de Villena. Today, the building is a Museum and a great place to explore the life of the ancestors of local residents. The complex L-arloġġ taċ -Cittittadella includes not only interesting museums but also historical attractions. For Example, Old Prison. Despite the name, the building was not used as a prison, but as a place to calm down overly emotional members of the order of Malta. Even the Grand master Fra Jean Parisot de La Valette (part-time founder of the capital of Malta) spent four months here. In the complex, you can also find souvenir shops "Spoonman's Shop" and several fine restaurants with local cuisine.
Art connoisseurs will be happy to visit Ta Nikol Gallery in Victoria, which has a wonderful collection of unique handicrafts, but those who prefer sacred art should definitely go to the nearby Il-Hagar Museum. On the island Gozo is located one of the most important religious attractions - namely, Bażilika-Santwarju Nazzjonali tal-Madonna Ta ' Pinu (location-village Arb). There were several miracles on this place in 1883 for several times, it all began when a peasant woman heard the voice of a virgin. Later, the island, which at that time was covered by the plague, miraculously escaped from it. The modern building was built in 1920 in the Romanesque style, inside you can find a beautiful collection of fine arts.
