Besides the beaches mentioned above, it is important to mention Ffryes Beach that has such incredibly clear water that it is hard to believe that it is real and that such places still exist on the planet. It is a truly “fairytale” place that is, however, open to visitors in real life and not in a dream. Valley Church Beach is one more gorgeous beach where many tourists will want to stay longer, silently watching the fabulous and picturesque landscape. On the east, vacationers can visit the Pillars of Hercules. A ride to that landmark will be particularly mesmerizing for those who bring diving equipment. Divers have one more “must-visit” destination, Cades Reef. Absolutely everyone will be in love with such a fabulous pastime.
In Jolly Beach, there is also an area that appeals to everyone keen on mystics. Megaliths of Greencastle Hill definitely deserve a visit. Locals are proud of the fact that there is such an ancient landmark located on their home island. Vacationers, who are more interested in “newer” art, usually prefer to visit Art At The Ridge Museum that exhibits interesting collections of paintings. There are more interesting museums to visit at the resort, such as Heavenly Hill Art Gallery close to Ffryes Beach and Dow's Hill Interpretation Centre in English Harbour. It is a great place to learn more about the history of the island and enjoy mesmerizing views of the dock – the museum is located higher than the coastline.
