Shirley Heights offers some of the most spectacular views on Antigua. Besides that, this observation deck is a true calling card of the island. It is located on the other side, in English Harbour. The panorama is particularly romantic in the evening, during the sunset time. Needless to say, sunsets are exceptionally fabulous and picture-perfect on Antigua. There is one more interesting natural landmark, which is called Monk's Hill. This hill offers a breath-taking view of the harbor and ruins of the old fort that are located in Falmouth. Moreover, all history fans will find it very interesting to visit it. In the past, all signals about attacks from the sea were sent from this area.
Dow's Hill Interpretation Centre is one more interesting place in English Harbour. This center offers a very unusual way to get acquainted with the history of the island. All exhibits are located in one room, and a visitor sits on a chair that turns clockwise. There is also a souvenir shop where it is possible to purchase many interesting items and souvenirs produced by local artisans. Finally, don’t forget to visit Fort Berkeley. This is one more notable historic landmark of the island. Moreover, it is a great place to see a view of another interesting landmark of the island - Nelson's Dockyard Marina, a stroll on which will leave many unforgettable memories.
