Islands of the archipelago are connected with excellent ferry service; speedboats cruise between major islands. Vacationers can move freely without baggage or together with their car that would be the ideal solution for large companies.

The main form of public transport at larger islands is bus; tourists always have an opportunity to take a taxi too. Active guests prefer to rent a car to have a complete freedom of movement throughout the archipelago.

Most tourists visit the island in summer and in February, when the island of Tenerife hosts its annual carnival. Thrifty travelers are advised to book hotel rooms in advance, as only in this case they can reckon on relatively low prices.

The world's smallest hotel, Punta Grande, can be found on the island of El Hierro. A room there has to be booked for a few months before the trip; otherwise you would admire this unusual place only from afar.

In all major hotels and inns the mains voltage is 220 V; there are outlets of European standard everywhere. Those who expect to stay in small hotels are advised to take adapters, since the voltage can be 110 V.
