The recovery was long and painful. The center of the city was almost ruined. It came back to life in the end of XIX century. The buildings have been rebuilt and gained the same old gloss as it had in XVIII century. The city was shining through the ages with its glamorous cafes, shops and casinos.
Nowadays Bordeaux is still famous for its trams which makes it easy to move through the city though the traffic is huge. The climate of the city is mild. It is pleasant to be outside all over the year. Bordeaux has its own charm. There is nothing like taking a walk through the city enjoying the beauty of it. Tourists love this city. You can see hundreds of people in parks and cafes of Bordeaux. Besides the fine architecture and great shopping opportunities there is an marvellous cuisine in this city. It is always served with local wine which makes the taste absolutely unique and unforgettable.
