Saas-Fee offers simply amazing conditions for alpine skiing. The resort is popular with both professional sportsmen and newbies who only make first steps in mastering skiing. The total length of all ski trails exceeds 100 kilometres, so all guests of the resort will find a slope to fit their taste and skill level. Around a half of all the trails are marked as “red”, and 25% of the ski trails are marked “blue”. There are also the hardest, “black” trails that will fit only very experienced skiers.

The last metro station, Mittelallalin , is also worth visiting as some of the most famous landmarks of the region are located there, namely, the ice grotto and the revolving mountain restaurant. The longest “red” ski trail, the length of which is 14 kilometres, starts not far away from the station. Travellers, who only start mastering alpine skiing, are recommended to start from trails located on Plattjen mountain. These trails have one great advantage – they end directly in the resort. More experienced sportsmen are welcome to try ski trails of the neighboring Saas-Almagell region, which is famous for its steep mountain trails. There are also many unmarked trails there. Professional sportsmen choose “black” trails for their training sessions. The majority of these trails start on the top of Lengfluh glacier.

Despite the fact that the official ski season in Saas-Fee lasts from December to May, many trails high in the mountains and on top of glaciers are available for training almost all year round. The Saas-Fee resort zone is served by more than twenty ski lifts, so travelers can purchase several types of ski passes. An adult unlimited ski pass for one day costs around 67 francs (the price depends of the season), while a child unlimited ski pass for one day costs around 38 francs.

Experienced travelers prefer to buy ski passes for adults and children that are valid during 6 days. In this case, the price of the passes estimates 300 and 170 Swiss francs respectively. Tourists, who plan to ski actively, can purchase ski passes that also allow using ski lifts and buses of the neighboring alpine skiing zones of Saas-Grund and Saas-Almagell. It is worth mentioning that the resort is distinguished by a well-developed sports infrastructure.
