Wembley Stadium, United Kingdom

From series “Top 14 Sport Stadiums with Impressive Design”
Year: 2007.

Wembley is the most famous stadium in Great Britain. This legendary stadium is located in London and opened in 2007. The stadium construction cost 1.5 billion dollars. Wembley is the largest stadium in Great Britain with a grandstand of 90,000. The main design particularity that makes Wembley one of the most recognizable stadiums in the world is a single-span roof with the height of 134 meters. This is the largest construction of this type on earth.

Wembley Stadium, United Kingdom In good and warm weather the roof over the stadium is usually rolled up. If it rains, the guests of the stadium will not worry. You can enjoy the game in a comfortable atmosphere as the roof protects you against bad weather. Since opening, the London stadium has been used for football and rugby matches. On this stadium the team of England plays their home games. The matches are part of the UEFA league.

The London stadium still has a distinctive feature. Originally it was built as a possible place for carrying out the athletic competitions. For this, the stadium is equipped with the system of telescopic platforms, with the use of which the number of seats is reduced to 30,000. Until now the stadium has never been used for athletic competitions. The design of the adjacent territory next to Wembley is equally incredibly beautiful. On the square are the fabulous fountains with colorful lighting. At the entrance to the stadium you can see the Bobby Moore monument. Next - Cowboys Stadium
