Travelers with children will easily find many interesting activities for the whole family. Contrary to stereotypes about Kazakhstan, this country is not only about the steppe and futuristic buildings. Without a doubt, nature and innovative buildings are also important and interesting. Some teenagers think that zoos are entertainment for small children. Prove them wrong and take them to the zoo in Nur-Sultan. Marvelous predatory birds, countless wild cats such as lions, panthers, leopards, lynxes, pumas, and jaguars; colorful exotic birds – visitors will see all these and more at the zoo! It is hard to find such diversity even in the wild. In aquariums, there are many rare species of fishes and scallops. As a rule, children enjoy visiting the terrarium to see fantastic chameleons and different snakes.

Nur-Sultan Circus is another great family-friendly destination in the capital of Kazakhstan. The building of the circus is a landmark itself, so it is very interesting to visit it. It has a very unusual shape that resembles flying soccer. The design of the building was developed by Tolegen Abilda. In his work, he tried to reflect dreams of children about outer space and aliens, adding a touch of mystics to the circus. The local circus troupe has as many as 320 actors, so they are always ready to amaze and entertain children with acrobatic mastery, conjuring tricks, shows with trained animals, marvelous gymnastic performances, and dancing. These are not all entertainments that the capital city can offer to its guests. There is a gorgeous entertainment park in Almaty that is perfectly suitable for the whole family. The name of this park is very simple – Family Park. Don’t be distracted by the retro look and year of opening (Family Park was founded yet in the 90s of the previous century) – this amusement park can please and entertain both children and adults. Parents will find it relaxing to sit on a bench near a pond or eat delicious kebab in a café while kids will be excited to have fun on green lawns. It is also a mistake not to visit fabulous attractions that the park offers – there are as many as 32 of them in Family Park! Visitors will definitely have no time to feel bored. It is unlikely that children or their parents can try all rollercoasters and merry-go-rounds within one day.

The territory of the Family Park also includes an aqua park with four slides and three swimming pools. Moreover, the complex features three karting areas: a separate area for kids, an area for adults, and one “family” area for all ages. Besides the entertainments mentioned above, there are eight bowling lanes and numerous arcade games. A small zoo, two scenes that frequently host interesting performances of professional actors and animators, and military objects – the park has something for everyone. Nur-Sultan also has a wonderful entertainment center for the whole family. Duman Entertainment Center opened only several years ago, but it has quickly conquered the hearts of numerous locals and guests of the city. Adults and children of all ages will find it incredibly fascinating to walk in a seventy-meter-long transparent tunnel that is built in a large aquarium. Visitors can see sharks, stingrays, and eels. Two thousand fish and other underwater creatures – the aquarium open in Duman offers a unique opportunity to see the underwater world. Many vacationers may want to try shark feeding. This is an absolutely safe and exciting activity that is available even to visitors with children.

A 5D cinema with all kinds of visual effects, an air simulator that lets children feel like real pilots, and a toy city for kids of up to 10 years old – Duman has all these facilities as well. It would be a mistake not to mention the Jungle Theater, the idea of which belongs to the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. The theater is open in Duman. It is an incredibly interactive show that brings children to the jungles with Indians and mechanic wild animals. The last scene is dedicated to a mystical city of the Mayan civilization. In short, it is much better to visit this place and see everything with own eyes!
