History and Entertainment
Little is known of the early history of Cambodia. The first references to the country at this site date back to the 1st century AD. It is only known that its territory was much larger than modern Cambodia. In the Middle Ages, many African countries saw the colonial period. By the middle of the 19th century, the entire territory of the country had been under France. The times of the Second World War were marked by the Japanese occupation. Cambodia gained independence in 1953.
The guests of Cambodia can choose from different recreation options. There are excellent beach resorts, as well as unique national parks with multiple nature attractions. The largest and most developed sea resort is Sihanoukville. It is known to not so many travelers, so it has preserved a pleasant atmosphere of harmony and peace. Tuolsburg Prison

Prison Toul Sleng is located in Cambodia. It is better known as Toul Sleng Genocide Museum today. The prison was founded by the Khmer Rouge in 1975. Prison cells were set up in the old school building. The prison worked only for four years. But Toul Sleng is considered one of the most terrible prisons in the world. More than 17,000 people were incarcerated during this period. Only a few of them managed to leave it alive. Terrible tortures and executions were carried out in prison. It was closed after four years of operation in 1979.

Ta Keo Temple

The construction of the Ta Keo Temple began in the late 10th century. It was built by the order of King Jayavarman V. He ordered to build a huge temple in honor of the God Shiva. However, it was not possible to fully complete the construction. It remains unknown for what reason the construction of the luxurious temple was suspended. According to some assumptions, construction work was suspended by the king's heirs after his death. They decided to leave the temple as it had become in the years of the founder's life. In September 2022, the Sommerro hotel in Oslo will start operating in a carefully restored 1930s Art Deco building. This building is a true landmark of Frogner, a historic neighborhood of the Norwegian capital. A multi-million-dollar renovation carefully turned the largest preservation project in Norway into a modern hotel with 231 rooms, including 56 residences.
