Tenby Resort, United Kingdom

From series “Small Flamboyant Towns Painted with Van Gogh Colors”
Year: 11th century.

There are some beautiful little towns in Britain, among which the most popular tourist destination is Tenby. This town is located on the Bay of Carmarthen, in the south of Wales. That’s a popular seaside resort. The modern town is home to about 4 900 people, while the number of tourists who annually visit these scenic spots, is ten times more.

Tenby Resort, United Kingdom The first mention of the modern town dates back to the 11th century. The territory has preserved many majestic historic buildings. The main historical symbol of Tenby is the Gate of Five Arches. Only a part of the once extensive fortifications has survived to these days. Facades of many historic buildings are painted in bright colors, so while walking through the ancient streets you will get a rainbow mood.

First floors of almost all historical buildings house shops and eating places. The town is largely focused on tourists. During summer, a favorite vacation spot of the guests of Tenby is a large sandy beach. That’s an ideal place for sunbathing and active entertainment. The resort will appeal not only to fans of historical sights, but also to tourists with children. Tenby has several top-notch recreational facilities in and around the town. Boat trips to the nearby island of Keld are extremely popular among tourists. Several historical buildings have survived there. To the beginning - Yangshuo Town
