Buffalo Niagara International Airport is located in the town of Cheektowaga, the United States. The airport serves not only the regions of the United States, but also the Canadian region of Ontario. The airfield is one of the three leading air terminals of the state of New York. The airport was built on the former farmland in 1926. It was meant for passenger and mail transportation. The airport encompasses one passenger terminal as well as two runways. In addition to regular and cargo flights, the airport handles corporate and charter flights, general aviation flights, and provides maintenance services for aircraft of different airlines. Emergency services are based at the airport. The passenger traffic amounts to 4-5 million people per year.
The airport is linked to various nearby cities by bus routes. Besides, you may use shuttle, limousine, taxi, and car rental services to reach these cities. NFTA-Metro Buses number 24, 27 and 68 go from the airport to the centre of Buffalo; Airport Downtown Express Route 204 goes to the central business district of the city.
