Car Rental at 'Merida - Train Station'

It was first held about ten years ago and has been organized annually in the first half of June since then. The event dedicated to ancient culture lasts 8 days and is visited by more and more foreign guests every year. Entertainment events are attended by professional historians and archaeologists, artists and designers, as well as local folk groups. For several days, guests of Merida plunge into the amazing atmosphere of ancient times, fascinating tours of iconic historical sites are held for them.
An important part of the festival is a traditional fashion show whose participants wear splendid costumes of ancient times. Among the ruins of the ancient amphitheater, gladiatorial fights and theatrical performances are staged, solemn marches of legionaries pass through the streets. Many local hotels and restaurants take an active part in the festival, creating special interiors in a historical style.

One of the tourists' favorite stages of the holiday is fairs where one can try the best regional products and dishes that were popular with locals hundreds of years ago. At the fairs, they sell interesting handicrafts, and everyone can buy a beautiful costume in a historical style. The traditional cuisine of the ancient Romans will impress gourmets and those open to something new. It'd be interesting to visit an unusual historical festival with children - special tours and entertainments are arranged for them too.
