Santiago de Compostela is the capital of the region. The Cathedral with relics of St. James the Greater is its main landmark. Fans of scenic walks have to visit the city of Vigo; it is the largest fishing port in the region. Foreign visitors would be fond of the historic center with its medieval buildings. Roman walls housing a lot of interesting sights can be called the main symbol of Lugo.
