Besides the Diamond Fund, the Moscow Kremlin is famous for its Armoury that used to be a treasury in the past. The collection of the cultural institution includes golden and silver items, tsar regalia, arms, armour, textiles, horse harnesses, and carriages. The Museum of Cosmonautics is another cultural institution that shouldn’t be missed. Here, you can view each exhibit carefully and learn more about the history of space exploration in the USSR. The magnificent Monument to the Conquerors of Space as well as Cosmonauts Alley with great sculptures—for example, depicting the solar system—are situated before the museum.
Those who don’t like ordinary museums should definitely check out the historical park called Russia Is My History where all exhibits are interactive and panoramic. It represents the history of the state from ancient times to the present day. Historical games are held here; huge projectors model simulations demonstrating the history of Russia. Nearby, there are amazing monuments to aircraft—the Mil Mi-8, Vostok rocket, Yak-42. There are also a couple of other interesting places nearby: Butterflarium, a butterfly house, and the Moskvarium oceanarium. The Experimentanium Science Museum is another wonderful museum with interactive exhibits thanks to which you can learn lots of interesting facts about the world through play and practical experiments.
