Searching for open roof cars

Preset configuration of the white form above - search for an exotic car or a cabriolet at 'Osaka - Kansai Airport'. Address: Izumisano-Shi, Osaka, 549-0011, Japan.

In Osaka, we provide vehicles at 24 different rental locations. Cars with a folding roof are rather of a rare type, so they are mostly offered in airports and railway stations.

We advise booking a cabriolet in Japan in advance (several weeks or even several months prior to your trip), since the availability of convertibles in our car park is quite limited.

Osaka, Japan: cabriolet rental hints
The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Japan are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet and Ford Mustang Convertible.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Osaka require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Japan is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Osaka and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Osaka, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Japan!

Driving Advices for Japan – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
If road signs, curbs and other barriers were damaged in case of a road accident, the driver who is guilty in the accident is required to pay for the damage done. For example, we can say that inattentive drivers will have to pay about US$6000 to repair the damaged traffic light.
In Japan, there are quite many toll roads. As a rule, payments are accepted in many different ways - in cash, by credit card or by using a special electronic device.
Local drivers, who often use toll roads, prefer to install special mobile payment gadgets. When cars with such gadgets cross the barrier at the entrance to the toll road, the cars are registered automatically, and at the end of the month the driver receives a separate bill for using the “road” services.

The city has many original restaurants that specialize in cooking another sea delicacy - octopuses. They can be deep-fried, served raw with various sauces, or used as a component of many common salads. The most popular octopus dish among locals is Taoyaki - small octopus pieces baked in pastry. You can try this popular dish not only at restaurants but also at small stalls in the streets. Some restaurants offer their guests to prepare the dish on their own.
in Osaka, traditional sushi and sashimi can be tasted literally everywhere. Gourmets will also appreciate the taste of the popular dish Okonomiyaki. That's how they call pancakes that can be stuffed with dozens of different components. Okonomiyaki is considered common pizza-like street food, which is quite cheap.

To fully appreciate the diversity of products that local chefs use in their restaurants, be sure to visit Osaka Fish Market, which is striking in its scale. On its huge counters, they present countless varieties of seafood. At this market, you can buy not only fresh fish but also various sauces and spices necessary for its preparation. Several great restaurants serve the freshest seafood right at the market. Cheesecake is considered the main local dessert, which is prepared by chefs' unique recipes. Besides classic cheesecake, a common dessert is Pablo Cheese Tart.
