Naples International Airport is located near the city of Capodichino and services entire Naples. The airport was founded in this district in 1910. During World War I and II, the airport was used by the military forces, including the US Air Force (in 1944). Later, the airport was used for cargo traffic. Then, in 1950, it started serving commercial flights. The infrastructure of the airport consists of one passenger terminal that serves passengers of domestic and international flights. Due to the nearby highway A 56, the airport is tied to such cities, as: Naples, Rome, Salerno, Bari. The connection between the airport and central squares of the city is ensured by buses. You can also travel to other cities by interurban bus: Avellino, Benevento, Sorrento, Salerno, etc. Bus stops are located not far from P1. Prices for taxi services at the airport are fixed. The taxi rank is located opposite the exit from the arrival area.
