One of the most visited cultural centers in Sharjah is the Naval Museum opened not so long ago, in 2009. The main exhibits in the themed museum are exact copies of famous trade, naval and fishing ships. In the museum halls, famous navigators’ portraits are famous. The beautiful building in the national style is occupied with the Arabian Wildlife Center. It is located quite far from the heart of the city. Actually, the Center is a big modern zoo. It was opened in 1999. Under the guidance of specialists, the special living environment that is as close as possible to the natural one has been created for animals. Besides the zoo, there is also a small aquarium in the center. Here, you can see exotic fish. There are also a terrarium and special aviaries. Moreover, it is just impossible to look over the whole center in just one day.
