It is also worth mentioning the most grandiose arena of Sao Paulo – the Corinthians Arena known far beyond its borders. The stadium can accommodate 48 thousand visitors and was built in 2013, though the place for it was chosen earlier in 1978. It was precisely here that six football matches of the 2014 World Cup were held.
