For those who want to get acquainted with the history of the country an excursion to the Museum of National History is dedicated. In addition to the permanent exhibition of historical artifacts, there are often collections of exhibits dedicated to various topics in it. The museum has become a permanent venue for all kinds of exhibitions and demonstrations. The largest collection of paintings in the country is represented in the Art Gallery. Among exhibits are paintings of both local and foreign artists.
The most important religious landmark of the whole country is the Masjid Negara mosque. Its construction was finally completed only in 1965. The main decoration of the mosque is a large-scale 18-end dome in the shape of a star. The main hall of the mosque is free to accommodate 8,000 pilgrims; the minaret is 73 meters height. Among monuments of modern architecture, Dayabumi Complex building is notable. A beautiful 35-story skyscraper located on the Raya street is home to office buildings, as well as the popular shopping center. No less attractive is Chinatown district, where unusual architectural buildings, museums and interesting shops are represented.
