Kassel often hosts various exhibitions of contemporary art, so unusual statues are one of its main distinctive features. There is Prayer statue near one of the local markets. The statue was bought by the city several years ago after an international exhibition. The bank of the Fulda River is the location of a monument in the form of a huge pick. The huge pick looks very impressive, surrounded by scenic nature.
