The most comfortable way to travel around the city is subway, but some stations are located at a considerable distance from landmarks and recreational facilities. Among other modes of public transport buses and trams are available.
There is a single ticket for all public transport; it costs 4 euros. Ticket for 24 hours would cost 4 euros, and a special ‘book’ with ten tickets - 11 euros. You can buy all kinds of tickets in special automatic stands, which are at each stop, or directly in a bus or tram.
A popular form of public transportation is bicycle; it would let you to travel freely throughout the territory of Lille. You can take a two-wheeled vehicle in one of the many rental agencies. Vélopole is considered the most popular of them. The longer is the term of rent, the lower the daily fee would be.
No less popular mode of transport is segway. You can rent it in Relais Oxygène center located on the Flemish station, or in Station Oxygène located on the Champ de Mars. Before the first trip be sure to take a brief training.
