The ski area of the province consists of four major pistes, among which there is the most famous Three Valleys area. Besides Courchevel, there are resorts of La Tania, Méribel-Mottaret, Brides- les-Bains, Orelle and Les Menuires. Three Valleys’ rivals are Espace Killy, Paradiski and the Portes du Soleil. It’s worth noting that the local ski area will impress both experienced athletes and beginners; some resorts are ideally equipped for a family holiday.
The region has two large thermal spas, Evian-les-Bains and Aix-les-Bains. Those who wish to devote much of their time to shopping trips are advised to visit Lyon.
