
First they turned the village into a bustling seaport, then into the capital of the Hawaiian kingdom in 1845; later Oahu became the capital of Hawaii region in 1898 and finally it was made the capital of Hawaii in 1959.
Today Honolulu is a highly developed and prosperous city which is the centre of Hawaiian business, politics, education, entertainment and the arts. The city can offer to its visitors almost everything that can offer any other city in the world: delicious cuisine, resorts, theatre, museums, concerts, shopping, sports, nightlife and lots of cultural events. But there is one great advantage of the city to other ones: its weather which is favorable all though the year.
