Lviv is known as a brewing center, so it's not surprising at all that here you can find Beer Cultural Experience Center “Lvivarnya”, which tells about the brewing traditions in the city. The cultural institution was opened in October 2005, which marked the 290th anniversary of Lvivska Brewery's founding. Unfortunately, not only pleasant events did happen in the city. The “Prison on Lontskoho” Museum is dedicated to such tragic events. Political prisoners were detained here in the 1920s (among them were Stepan Bandera, Yaroslav Stetsko). In the years 1939-1941, several hundred inhabitants of the prison were shot in the prison. In the later years of the war, the building was used as a Gestapo. Today, in front of the building, one can see the Monument to the Victims of Communist Crimes erected in 1997.
The Pharmacy Museum will delight fans of mysticism. It tells about the history of pharmacies in general, but the greatest attention is paid to the contribution of alchemists. No less remarkable for fans of all mysterious and unidentified is the Secret Pharmacy Museum with its special mystical atmosphere. The information is presented in a very interesting way. In particular, this will be appreciated by the youngest tourists who are often bored with ordinary museums. The Retro Moto Museum will be appreciated by technology enthusiasts. The evolution of transport is presented here mainly through bicycles and motorcycles. The tourist program should be diversified by watching cultural performances that take place at Lviv Opera and Ballet Theater, Les Kurbas Theater, as well as Lviv Organ Hall.
