The prestigious Hospes Madrid is open in a gorgeous building that was constructed yet in 1883. Modern architects and designers have succeeded in keeping the atmosphere of the past in both rooms and public areas. Nowadays, guest rooms are decorated with premium fabrics in light shades and white wooden furniture on carved legs. Fragments of the original stone walls only underline the elegant décor of the hotel. The old basement of the building is now used as a recreation area with a wonderful swimming pool and an artificial waterfall.
It would be a mistake not to mention the high-class Petit Palace Savoy Alfonso XII . Guests of this hotel have an opportunity to book rooms that still have many antique elements. Just like many decades ago, guest rooms feature stone walls and high oval shaped windows. The entrance to the hotel is still decorated with ancient forged iron gates. The historical splendor is skillfully underlined by modern designer furniture and interesting illumination – an artistic lighting can be seen throughout the hotel.
