Airport location, terminals and transportation
Naha Airport in Japan is the seventh on the list of the busiest airports in the country. The airport serves flights to Taiwan, China, South Korea, and Hong Kong. Every year, the airport services about 18 million passengers. With such a passenger turnover, the airport uses only one air-strip. The Air Forces of the country use Naha Airport as a base for the Self-Defense Force. The airport was founded in 1933 as the military airfield of the Imperial Japanese Air Fleet. When the base was conquered by the US Forces in 1945, its name changed to Naha Airport. In 1982, the management of the airport passed to Japan. The terminal complex consists of: terminals for domestic and international flights, the terminal for low-cost hauliers, and the cargo terminal.
You can travel to the center of Naha (that is 4 km from OKA) by train. You can reach the monorail railway station by going out of the airport terminal and going through the garage. You can also catch a bus at the airport (#23, 25, 26, 95, 99, 113, 120, 123, 111). Bus stops are located at the roadside near the exit from the terminal. At the same roadside near the exits, you can also take a taxi or a coach to reach the city. You can also use the limo services at the roadside of the second track, opposite the terminal.

Passengers arriving at Naha Airport can use the car rental services provided by the following companies: Europcar, Times car, and Nissan rent a car.
To get to the car rental points, you need to take a free transfer. To do this, the passenger needs to go out of arrival concourse at the first level of the domestic terminal, and go outside it through the terminal. Then, you need to go to the second track at the pedestrian crossing. You can take a transfer to car rental centers at the stop that is marked with «Rental car pickup» and located opposite the terminal, at the roadside of the second track.
Companies offer to include the second driver in the contract for free. The rental cost will include insurance in the event of car theft or a traffic accident and navigation aids. Cars are returned to the station specified in the rental contract. When you return the car, you must refill a fuel tank.
