In 1945, the building was seriously damaged after an explosion of the atomic bomb. It was reconstructed only by 1967. Full reconstruction of the temple took place in 1982. Today, it is an incredibly beautiful building created in full compliance with the Confucian culture. White stone steps lead to the entrance. Many beautiful sculptures can be seen around the building.
An amazing museum of Chinese history operates in the temple. The former represents a part of the exhibition, which was previously housed in the temple of Beijing. Unique patterns of ancient inventions, old maps, a first seismograph, and other amazing exhibits are stored in the museum. The main hall of the mausoleum features a majestic statue of Confucius. You can see the 72 stone statues in the courtyard. These figures symbolize students of the great thinker. One of the main decorations surrounding the temple is a pond with a stone bridge. That’s a perfect place for the deep reflection and admiring beauty of the surrounding world.
