Ancona - Roadster/Convertible Hire

Searching for open roof cars

Preset configuration of the white form above - search for an exotic car or a cabriolet at 'Ancona - Airport'. Address: Ancona Aeroporto Di Falconara, Ancona, Italy.

In Ancona, we provide vehicles at 2 different rental locations. Cars with a folding roof are rather of a rare type, so they are mostly offered in airports and railway stations.

We advise booking a cabriolet in Italy in advance (several weeks or even several months prior to your trip), since the availability of convertibles in our car park is quite limited.

Ancona, Italy: cabriolet rental hints
The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Italy are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet, Audi A3 Convertible, Audi A4 Convertible and BMW Z4 Roadster.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Ancona require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Italy is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Ancona and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Ancona, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Italy!

Driving Advices for Italy – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
Maintaining a "big" car is difficult in Italy, partly because the prices on petrol remain high in the country. Purchasing a large amount of petrol for big cars is the prerogative of wealthy car owners only. However, among local residents there are very few people who want to spend large sums to refuel their cars.
Audi and Volkswagen are particularly respected by locals. Mercedes and Opel branded cars are also widespread in the streets of Italian cities. Citroen and Renault are slightly less common, and it’s really rare to see a Japanese car in the streets of Italy. “Luxury” cars can often be seen in big resorts, but they are very rare in ordinary towns.
Local drivers can safely be called the true “masters of parking”. They can easily squeeze their compact cars between neighbors in a parking lot, even if in this case the distance between the cars will be only a few millimeters. Drivers, who value their cars and do not want to see scratches on them, should refrain from such maneuvers.

The Homer Museum is very unusual cultural institution. It is notable for the fact that it is one of the few in the world out of tactile museums. This museum was founded in 1993 and is largely focused on people with vision difficulties. All the exhibits of the museum are to be touched by hands, the basis of its exposition being beautiful sculptures. Among the exhibits there are a small replicas of the famous city's attractions, and a lot of unique archaeological artefacts stored in the museum to this day.

Fans of theatre art should visit Theatre of the Muses; it is located close to the Duomo. This theatre occupies a spectacular neo-classical building constructed in 1827, it is one of the largest in the region. Over the years, it is almost has not changed, and as many years ago, there are performances in the beautiful horseshoe-shaped hall. Today, in this theatre are a variety of cultural events; throughout the year there are a few ballet seasons, but still there are jazz and symphony concerts.

Ancona is loved by visitors not only for the excursions, but also by those fond of beach holidays. The most famous city beach is Palombina, its length is more than 4 km. This beach is shallow, so it is especially popular among families with children. At the beach there are both busy tourist areas, as well as some quiet private places.
