The island has excellent ferry connections to other islands of the Cyclades, so it won’t be difficult to get to Paros, Naxos, Mykonos, Tinos, Ios and Santorini. You can specify the time of departure and fare in the port area of the capital.
Tourists who have limited time and want to see all the important sites quickly should definitely take the local bus. It departs from the waterfront of Ermoupolis every hour and circles the whole island. The bus route passes through the most attractive places; the trip lasts about an hour.
The most popular souvenir is Greek delight. These popular oriental sweets can be purchased literally at any market. You could easily find specialty shops that offer hundreds of species of delight in every town.
