It’s simply impossible to imagine rest on Milos without visiting its amazing beaches. The most beautiful beach on the island is Papafragos , the great natural attraction. The water in this part of the coast changes its color during the day; one of the most beautiful caves of the island can be found in close proximity to the sandy beach. Papafragos is covered with volcanic sand; it’s surrounded with tranquil desert landscapes making these places even more attractive.
Charming Kleftiko Beach attracts travelers who prefer to relax away from busy resorts. Kleftiko is fabulously beautiful wild beach covered with white sand and featuring water of rich turquois. You can get to the beach by water only, as it’s surrounded with high steep rocks. There is an important natural landmark, famous rocks of Meteora, in the immediate vicinity of the coast. There are also some beautiful caves on the beach; many interesting legends about pirates are associated with them. Kleftiko lacks any equipment, so you need to take all the necessary stuff with you.
Paliochori Beach is more fitted, so it will satisfy even the most discerning travelers. There are comfortable chairs and pretty thatched sunshades, as well as a great restaurant and equipment rental. One of the main features of Paliochori is the presence of submarine volcanic sources heating water. You can safely go for a vacation even with young children without worrying that water is too cool.
